Anne Graham

Anne Graham studied and worked in the UK until 2018. She is a qualified accountant and has been an affiliate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors since 2008. After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, she started her career in external audit, moving to focus on risk based internal audit and assurance in 2008. She has worked for KPMG and PwC delivering internal audit services, as well as in public bodies. Most recently she worked as a senior manager in the Business Risk Services team at Grant Thornton LLP in the UK. In that role she managed highly regulated science, research and technology clients operating at the interface between the commercial and public sector and led a team of staff and consultants.

Some of her most recent projects include:

  • Assessing the planning and delivery of new technical facilities and capabilities
  • A review of safety governance, management and operational processes with a follow up assessment of the new safety improvement process
  • A health check on a £100million capital programme
  • A post implementation review of a major re-organisation programme
  • An analysis of the interface between technical and support functions (such as finance, commercial, HR)
  • The effectiveness of the technical quality assurance process
  • Advisory work supporting the development of a new technical quality policy and a new technical peer review process (internally and supply chain)
  • Review of audit recommendations and the follow up/tracking process
  • A review of risk management arrangements
  • Supporting team implementing a new SOX regime
  • Preparation for an External Quality Assessment by the IIA
